Immersion Cooling Türkiye
Keeping the temperature under control in data centers and high-performance computing systems is one of the most critical issues. Although traditional air cooling methods have been used for years, different methods have begun to be developed with the increasing processing power and energy needs. Immersion cooling is an innovative method that emerged as a result of this need. So, what exactly is immersion cooling and why does it offer such an effective solution?
In this method, electronic components are completely immersed in a special liquid. The liquids used are usually dielectric, that is, special liquids that do not conduct electricity. In this way, system components can be cooled without being damaged and in direct contact with the liquid. However, the first question that comes to mind here is: What is the difference between this method and others and why is it increasingly preferred?
Advantages of Immersion Cooling for Data Centers
Traditional air cooling systems have been around for years, but they are not very effective in terms of energy efficiency and space utilization. When you consider the amount of energy spent on fans, air conditioning systems and optimizing airflow, immersion cooling stands out as a much more efficient alternative.
One of the most important advantages of immersion cooling is that it consumes much less energy than traditional air cooling. Since it does not require fans and air conditioning systems, overall energy consumption is significantly reduced. In addition, this method allows for a more compact layout, allowing for more hardware to be used in data centers.
However, immersion cooling can also extend the life of components. With traditional air cooling methods, dust and other contaminants from fans can damage components. However, this risk is eliminated when liquid cooling is used. We may now have a better understanding of why data centers are increasingly turning to this system. But what exactly is the difference between traditional cooling and immersion cooling?
Differences Between Immersion Cooling and Conventional Cooling
Traditional air cooling methods are based on the cyclic circulation of air. However, air has a much lower thermal conductivity than liquid. Therefore, heat transfer becomes more efficient when immersion cooling is used. At the same time, a quiet environment can be created with immersion cooling. Noise pollution caused by fans is eliminated, which provides a better experience in working environments.
Immersion cooling also provides a great advantage in terms of energy costs. Air cooling systems can consume a lot of energy, especially in high-density data centers. However, immersion cooling provides both energy savings and operational efficiency.
Relationship between OCP (Open Compute Project) and Immersion Cooling
Açık bilişim projeleri dendiğinde akla ilk gelenlerden biri Open Compute Project (OCP)’tir. OCP, you can use the technology to do so. You can also use the system to get the best price. I will be happy to see you in the future so soon I will be happy, with one of my favorite projects for you.
Immersion cooling solutions are increasingly being used in data center designs supported by OCP. Large technology companies are also turning to this system due to its energy efficiency and potential to reduce operational costs.
